    Vartan Marashlyan

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

    Vartan Marashlyan was born in Armenia but lived in Moscow for over 25 years.
    He has since moved back to Armenia in 2010 and lives in Yerevan with his wife and three children.

    Vartan Marashlyan has more than 20 years experience working both in public and private sectors. Before the establishment of RepatArmenia Foundation Mr. Marashlyan was the Deputy Minister of Diaspora and responsible for developing programs with Armenian communities in CIS countries, organizing of pan-Armenian professional forums, creating programs to train young leaders and journalists of the Diaspora. Vartan also worked as Economic Advisor to the British Department for International Development and assistant to the Prime Minister of Armenia. His private sector experience includes real estate development and banking working with Severstal Group, Promsvyazbank, Gasprombank and Norman Asset Management.

    Vartan continues to be committed to the Armenian national cause. He was an active member of Moscow Armenian community, Board member of Moscow Armenian Young Professionals Organization (SIVAM) and Advisory board member of the Armenian Students Association of Moscow State University.

    Vartan graduated from the Financial Academy under the Government of Russian Federation with a degree in International Economics in 1997. In 2000, he received his PhD in Economics from Moscow State University.

    Asya was born and raised in Yerevan, Armenia. 

    At Repat Armenia, Asya is up to:

    - Coordinating  818 HR consulting employment support to repats/expats
    - Running CRM database
    - Job-matching efforts/pairing candidates with vacancies

    Talar moved to Armenia in 2020 from Beirut, Lebanon. 

    At Repat Armenia, she is up to:

    - Online/email communication with repats/expats, needs assesment and follow ups
    - Offline meetings with repats/expats
    - Meetings/calls with external stakeholders 
    - Job-matching efforts/pairing candidates with vacancies
    - Communication with companies/employers and follow up on employment and posting vacancies
    - Vacancies searching and posting on all Repat Armenia's social media platforms
    - Moderating the Facebook group pages of Repat Armenia
    - Managing the Lebanese-Armenians Employment Support Program
    - Managing the Health Insurance Program
    - Organizing integration and networking events
    - Attending the workshops and forums on integrations and repatriation projects in Armenia.
    - Identifying the most successful/impactful repatriates for content development

    PROGRAMS MANAGER

    Marianna repatriated to Armenia in 2019 from Minsk, Belarus.

    At Repat Armenia, Marianna is up to: 

    - Organizing programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the Repat Armenia Foundation
    - Organizing “Imagine Armenia” forums abroad multiple times a year to increase engagement with Armenia
    - Developing new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization
    - Creating and managing long-term goals
    - Monitoring multiple projects through the entire program cycle
    - Managing the day-to-day detailed aspects of multiple projects
    - Set timelines for goal posts/due dates
    - Coordinating and utilizing resources for multiple projects in the program
    - Managing and submitting program documentation
    - Developing an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement
    - Implementing and managing changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved
    - Networking and maintaining relations and communication with both individuals and companies/organizations/foundations in Armenia and abroad
    - Developing annual promotion strategies, including programs, etc.

    Ishkhan was born in Russia and moved to Armenia in 2011. 

    At Repat Armenia, Ishkhan: 

    - creates content (SM posts, newsletters, blogs) to reach our target audiences;
    - increases the effectiveness of our online presence, respond to all engagements received via our ad campaigns and posts, and coordinate the video and photo productions;
    - is engaged in regular and meaningful interaction with repats to identify stories to highlight, coordinate the translations of relevant content into multiple foreign languages (French, Russian, Spanish, Armenian, English);

    Nanar Avedissian was born and raised in Aleppo, Syria. Having fled the war, she moved to Yerevan, Armenia in 2014 with her family. Currently, she is studying English and Communications and the American University of Armenia, as well as volunteering as a leader for the YMCA Syrian-Armenian group. She enjoys filling up her time with volunteer work and has also managed quite a bit of work for The Bridge during the “5-day war” we recently saw break out. She is a first year student but with grand goals.
